express entry

A popular route for economic immigration to Canada is the Express Entry Program, where skilled workers can apply to become permanent residents in one of three classes.

  1. Federal Skilled Worker

  2. Federal Skilled Trades

  3. Canadian Experience Class

To be eligible for express entry you must meet certain eligibility requriements specific to each class. Once you are eligible you may enter the express entry pool of applicants, and then wait for an invitation to apply. Invitations are sent out based on your Comprehensive Ranking System points, program/class, and if you may be included in a priority sector. These points are based on six main factors: age, education, work experience, english or french language ability, and adaptability (spouse, past work or study in Canada, job offer, family in Canada).

Canadian Provinces and Territories have provincial programs that can tie into your Express Entry profile to provide another points boost and entry to the Provincial Nominee Program.

Provincial Nominee Programs & Regional Programs

Provinces and Territories have their own programs which are a part of a non-express entry Provincial Nominee Program. Each province has the ability to create their own programs based on their provincial needs. There are approximately 80 different provincial nominee streams throughout all areas in Canada.

At Bow Valley Immigration Consulting we specialize in Alberta and British Columbia based provincial programs. Please contact for further details.
